Natasha Washington ~ FRIENDS AND FAMILY - Card #2

You visit your mother and tell her that you’re thinking about leaving Curtis. She says that she never trusted him. “It’s hard for me to keep up with the lifestyles nowadays. You and Curtis together so long and not married, but you act like a married couple. In my day, a man knocked his woman around, no one thought twice about it. but you deserve better than that, Tasha. I have half a mind to call him myself.”

You hug your mother and start crying. She hands you a tissue and asks you to spend that night. “You’re still my baby,” she says. “Maybe I’ll take you down to talk to the reverend Livingston tomorrow. Do you want to do that?”
