Executive Director Position Details

MISSION STATEMENT

Domestic Violence Services, a private, non-profit agency, provides emergency services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and works toward ending this violence within the communities we serve.

POSITION DETAILS

The objective of the ED is to support and further the mission and core values of Domestic Violence Services, Inc. by overseeing staff and programs to ensure appropriate service delivery. The ED serves as advisor to the Board of Directors and as liaison between staff and the Board. The ED is responsible for procuring funding for the organization; financial and program management and planning; establishing and fostering relations between social services, justice and law enforcement agencies; and garnering public support for the mission of our organization.

PENDLETON, OREGON

Pendleton has an array of beautiful country with fishing and hunting, wildlife observation, summer swimming. It is home to the Blue Mountains, with Blue Mountain Community College that provides affordable higher learning opportunities. Pendleton is also home to the famed Pendleton Round-up, which provides fun for the entire family each year. And nothing beats the Pendleton Woolen Mills for all of your woolen needs in one place. The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation sits in Pendleton’s back yard, providing community cultural education, casino, concerts and other events.

SALARY

$62,000 – $68,000 Annually DOE

BENEFITS

Health & Dental Insurance, IRA/up to 3% match, Vacation Leave 5 days/year (after meeting eligibility), nine holidays – New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or 5-year equivalent type work in public administration, social work, non-profit management, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly public speaking.
  • Organizational leadership, management, program/policy development and capacity-building. Experience working collaboratively with community partners, corporations, foundations, volunteers and boards.
  • Success in fund development and financial management.
  • Knowledge of issues related to domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking or dating violence.
